Day 1 - Sarria
Begin your pilgrimage in the picturesque town of Sarria. Stroll through its historic streets and soak in the serene atmosphere, preparing your spirit for the journey ahead.
Day 2 - Sarria to Portomarin
Start your Camino through shaded oak forests and peaceful hamlets. Marvel at the iconic Galician horreos (stone granaries) and visit the Romanesque church in Barbadelo before arriving in Portomarin, a town steeped in history and riverside charm.
Day 3 - Portomarin to Palas de Rei
Cross the scenic Mino River and ascend towards the Serra de Ligonde, passing quaint villages like Gonzar and Ventas de Naron. Explore the Romanesque churches of Castromaior and Eirexe along the way, rich in pilgrim symbolism and history.
Day 4 - Palas de Rei to Arzua
Meander downhill through forests and streams, stopping in Melide to savor Galicia's signature octopus dish at a traditional pulperia. Continue past medieval hamlets and the church of Santiago in Boente, arriving in Arzua, famed for its local cheese and welcoming spirit.
Day 5 - Arzua to Amenal
Journey through tranquil woods, sleepy villages, and flowing streams. Pause at the charming chapel of Santa Irene and the quaint hamlet of Rua before reaching Amenal, your resting place for the night.
Day 6 - Amenal to Santiago de Compostela
Follow the path through Lavacolla to Monte do Gozo, where pilgrims catch their first glimpse of Santiago Cathedral. Arrive in the historic city, explore the UNESCO-listed old town, and feel the spiritual energy as you witness the Pilgrim Mass.
Day 7 - Santiago de Compostela
