Satara Plains Camp is Kruger Untamed's newest camp, launched in July 2024. Open from 1 May to 30 September for South Africa's winter season, it offers phenomenal access to one of the most exceptional wildlife regions in the Kruger National Park - one that's globally renowned for its big cats, huge herds of buffalo and elephant, as well as other predators like painted wolves (African wild dogs) and spotted hyena. The camp is located in the heart of the Satara region, famed for its lions and other apex predators, a few kilometres from the Kruger National Parks Satara Rest Camp. It provides a unique base from which to explore this legendary area, with the fabled S100 route that follows the course of the Nwanetsi River close at hand.
