Day-to-Day Safari Highlights:
Day 1: Nairobi - Aberdares
Arrival in Nairobi transfer to the Eka Hotel where refreshments will be served and safari briefing. Scenic drive through Kenya's lush farming highlands. Stay at the iconic The Ark Lodge or similar. Afternoon wildlife viewing directly from the lodge overlooking a floodlit waterhole. Great chance to spot elephants, buffalo, antelope, and nocturnal animals.
Day 2: Aberdares - Samburu
Cross the Equator into northern Kenya. Arrival at Ashnil Samburu Camp or similar. First game drive in the rugged Samburu landscape. Opportunity to see unique northern Kenya wildlife species.
Day 3: Samburu National Reserve
Morning and afternoon game drives. Explore the Ewaso Nyiro River ecosystem. Excellent sightings of: Grevy's zebra, Reticulated giraffe, Gerenuk, Ostrich, Elephants, Lions and leopards Hippos and crocodiles along the riverbanks.
Day 4: Samburu- Aberdare Country Club
Scenic drive south toward the Aberdare region. Afternoon safari in Solio Conservancy. One of the best rhino-viewing areas in Africa. Strong chances of seeing both black and white rhinos up close. Overnight at Aberdare Country Club or similar.
Day 5: Aberdare - Lake Naivasha
Descend into the spectacular Great Rift Valley. Stay at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge or similar. Relaxing afternoon by the lake. Optional activities available (at an extra cost): Boat rides, Crescent Island walks, Birdwatching. Beautiful scenery and calmer pace after several safari days.
Day 6: Lake Naivasha - Maasai Mara
Optional morning boat safari (at an extra cost) on Lake Naivasha. Journey to Kenya's world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. Afternoon game drive after lunch. First chance to encounter the Big Five in the Mara. Overnight at Sarova Mara Camp or similar.
Day 7: Maasai Mara
Early morning safari when predators are most active. Optional hot-air balloon (at an extra cost) safari over the plains followed by a bush breakfast. Afternoon game drive across the savannah. Excellent wildlife opportunities including Lions, Cheetahs, Leopards, Elephants, Wildebeest, Hyenas. Stunning African sunset experience.
Day 8: Maasai Mara -Nairobi
Scenic return journey to Nairobi or optional flight (at an extra cost). Final refreshments at Eka Hotel l before final transfer to the airport for your outbound international flight.
