Itinerary

Day 1: (L/D)
Pick up at 7am from your hotel in Phuket, Krabi or Khao Lak and drive to Khao Sok, passing small rural villages, rubber and oil palm plantations along the way. Lunch on arrival at Elephant Hills Camp before a canoe trip, passing limestone mountains and cliffs covered with exotic tropical vegetation. Head to the elephant sanctuary where you will to see, touch and learn about the life of Thai elephants and about the elephant conservation project. Participate in the Elephant Experience, an opportunity to bathe and feed these beautiful animals. Spend the evening in luxury safari tents with comfortable beds, reading lights, hot water and western style toilets.
Dinner and overnight at ELEPHANT CAMP.

Day 2: (B/L/D)
Wake up to the sounds of the jungle. After breakfast, head out to Cheow Lan Lake, a man-made lake surrounded by limestone mountains and tropical rainforest cliffs. There are more than one hundred islands in the lake and it stretches over 60 km from North to South. Enjoy the spectacular scenery from the boat and jump into the lake’s emerald water. On arrival at the floating Elephant Hills Rainforest Camp, you will find all the conveniences of a modern hotel room but with totally unspoilt nature right on your door step. Hike through the rainforest before watching the sunset from the deckchair in front of your tent.
Dinner and overnight at RAINFOREST CAMP.

Day 3: (B/L)
After breakfast enjoy a guided canoe safari into the little channels of the lake before savouring a last lunch at the floating tented camp. In the afternoon, transfer to your hotel in Phuket, Krabi or Khao Lak.

Phuket
Phuket is one of the southern provinces of Thailand. Neighboring provinces are Phang Nga and Krabi, but as Phuket is an island there are no land boundaries.

The most significant event in the history of Phuket was the attack by the Burmese in 1785. Captain Francis Light, a British East India Company captain passing by the island, sent word to the local administration that he had observed Burmese forces preparing to attack. Khunying Jan, the wife of the recently deceased governor, and her sister Mook then assembled what forces they could. After a month-long siege, the Burmese were forced to retreat March 13, 1785.

Phuket is the biggest island in Thailand, located in the Andaman Sea off southern Thailand. The island is mostly mountainous with a mountain range in the west of the island from the north to the south.

The province enjoys a weather that remains warm almost throughout the year, a trait that is hardly surprising, considering Phuket's proximity to the Tropics. The influence of the sea adds a further touch of magic to the climate of Phuket which results in the prevalence of moisture laden winds which blow in from the sea and add a moderating influence to the otherwise warm weather in Phuket.
