Day 1: Hanoi arrival - Own tickets
Private Hanoi Airport Transfer without guide
Upon arrival at Noi Bai Airport, either Domestic or International arrival, after clearing all customs procedures, please proceed to exit gate and look for your driver who will be waiting at the lobby, holding the Trails of Indochina signboard with your name on it, if you cannot locate your driver, please go to the Airport information counter situated in the middle of Domestic and International arrival lobby inside the terminal and call the emergency numbers +84 - 9 1323 7040 for assistance. Your guide will come to meet you up and transfer you to hotel.

Day 2: Hanoi
Seat-In-Coach Hanoi full day tour
07h45 - 8h15: Free pick up at your hotel. Then visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum to explore the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho's final resting-place. Just next door is Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts and lying to one side of the Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda. Then continue on to the Buddhist Tran Quoc Pagoda at West lake One of the oldest pagodas in Vietnam.Then visit Bat Trang pottery village applied on Monday, Wednesday & Friday.
After lunch, proceeds to visit the Ethnology Museum apply on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday, the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam, see Vietnam's first university. Take you past Hoan Kiem Lake to see the peaceful waters, and the beauty of Ngoc Son temple. At the end, journey through Hanoi's Old Quarter, where you will then have a chance for some shopping and exploration. Tour ends around 15h30 - 16h00.
NOTE: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed every Monday & Friday, all afternoons and from September until December

Day 3: Hanoi - Halong

On arrival in Halong Bay, board your junk, settle into your cabin and prepare your appetite for an enjoyable lunch on deck. During lunch the boat cruises through Halong Bay, passing the most beautiful and quiet areas including Incense Burner, Dog Stone Islet, Fighting Cock, and Finger Islet. Then arriving at Cua Van fishing village. Most of the villagers have moved on land for their children's future due to the lack of education system and resources. Start exploring the villagers' distinctive way of life on a small bamboo boat rowed by the villagers. Return to the boat and join the cooking demonstration on-board. After dinner, you might want to try luck at squid fishing from the boat.

Day 4: Halong - Hanoi / Danang - Flight - Economy Class Arranged by Trails of Indochina
Wake up early and partake in a Tai Chi demonstration, which is held on the upper deck. Then join in the walking tour of Titov Beach Island. You might want to climb up the steps to the peak for a breath-taking 360-degree view of the Bay. After the climb, it is time for swimming or relaxing on the beach if weather permits. Return to your boat, freshen up and enjoy breakfast while cruising back to land. Arrive at the jetty late morning and embark on Seat-In-Coach transfer back Hanoi.

Day 5: Hoi An

Today, this World Heritage ancient town is recognised for its well-preserved architecture, pedestrian-only streets and distinctive local cuisine, allowing visitors a glimpse of its illustrious past. Hoi An's narrow lanes are ideal for a guided walking tour of its many atmospheric sights including: the old merchant houses with influences from Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese architecture; the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, first built in the 1590s by the Japanese community to link them with the Chinese quarters across the stream.

Day 11: Siem Reap

Depart from your hotel and continue to Ta Prohm Temple - one of Angkor's jewels that is overgrown with big trees and lush jungle. The magnificent roots of the trees have merged over the centuries with the temple's huge stone blocks, emphasizing a forgotten city' feeling. The temple was built by King Jayavarman VII to commemorate his mother. Take your time to walk through the temple from the East entrance to the West entrance walk 1-2 km where your vehicle will be waiting.

Hanoi
Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam. From 1010 until 1802, it was the political centre of an independent Vietnam with a few brief interruptions. The city is located on the right bank of the Red River.

The area around modern Hanoi has been inhabited since at least 3000 BC. One of the first known permanent settlements is the Co Loa citadel founded around 200 BC.

Hanoi experiences the typical climate of northern Vietnam, where summers are hot and humid, and winters are relatively cool and dry. The summer months from May to September receive the majority of rainfall in the year. The winter months from November to March are relatively dry, although spring then often brings light rains.

Hanoi isnt well known for its nightlife, as the city streets can appear pretty deserted soon after 2200. However, the situation is improving and there are a number of great places in which to pass an evening, although clubs and live music venues are still in short supply.

Hanoi is a shoppers paradise highlighting the style the Vietnamese possess. The Old Quarter has numerous streets crammed with shops but those of particular interest are on Hang Gai and Hang Bong where there are a number of tailors and silk shops. The hill tribes of the Central Highlands and the north of the country now sell colorful woven bags and clothing in the city. Good souvenirs are marble figurines and vases, ceramics from Bat Trang village, silk paintings and hand-painted greetings cards. Shops are generally open seven days a week from early morning until late evening.
