About the Holiday

Day 1 - Arrival in Athens
Welcome to Athens to join your Greek island hopper tour! Upon your arrival you will be met by a Siva Travel representative who will transfer you to your hotel. Time at leisure to discover Athens! Redolent with history and mythology, Athens is a vibrant city, enlivened by bustling outdoor cafes, pedestrian streets that wind through the city's ancient sites and its fair share of urban eccentrics, a city full of contrasts.

Accommodation: Titania hotel on BB basis or similar.

Day 2 - Delphi
Depart from Athens to Delphi. The drive to Delphi is approximately 3 hours. Enjoy the sightseeing of Ancient Delphi, probably the ancient world's most famous oracle. The site is at the foot of the mountain; the Pan-Hellenic sanctuary of Delphi, here we start our walk. Passing by the Castalia Spring we will visit the archaeological site and view the monument of the Argive Kings, the treasury of the Athenians, the Athenian Stoa, the Polygonal Wall, the monument of Platea and the Temple of Apollo. The site is very large and there is a lot to see including the famous oracle of Delphi.

Day 3 - Delphi to Kalambaka
Today, in the morning enjoy the town Delphi with time at leisure until our departure. The tour continues with the drive cross the fertile Thessaly region to Kalambaka for our overnight.

Day 4 - Kalambaka to Athens
When you awaken to see the awe-inspiring rock formations unfold before your eyes, you will easily understand why we call this place Meteora, which means suspended in the heavens above. Today we will climb above the charming mountain villages of Kastraki and Kalambaka to visit two of the six surviving Monasteries of Meteora, a UNESCO world heritage site and one of the most important complexes of Eastern Orthodox monasteries in the world. See how the monks live today and enter some of the most captivating Byzantine basilicas in Greece. In the afternoon we will head south to Athens for our overnight stay.

Day 5 - (sail to Mykonos embarkation from Piraeus)
Mykonos: After breakfast at the hotel you will be transferred to the port of Piraeus to embark the ship to Mykonos. In the afternoon, the ship will dock in Mykonos an island that needs little introduction. A summer holiday meeting
point for jet setters worldwide, this glittering, glamorous island has everything you expect fantastic beaches with crystal clear water, whitewashed sugar-cube houses with blue wooden shutters, narrow streets to stroll around, and
last, but not least an incredible nightlife. The evening is yours to enjoy this beautiful iconic Cycladic Island.

Day 6- Mykonos

Day 7 - Naxos (free time)
Today you will travel to Naxos, one of the most interesting diverse and beautiful islands of the Aegean. Your ship will depart from Mykonos for Naxos. Relax on board for the journey. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Free time in the afternoon. Later enjoy a local tastes dinner.

Day 9 - Departure, Farewell and thank you
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. Morning at leisure until your transfer to your boat to Piraeus. Transfer to the hotel in Athens for your overnight stay.

Day 10 - Departure, Farewell and thank you
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for your flight home.

Clients have to exchange ferry vouchers with the original ferry tickets, in order to embark the ship. Clients will receive their ferry tickets upon their arrival to each place or the latest one-day prior sailing. If for any reason, you do not receive them, please contact the local agent the latest 24 hours prior sailing in order to exchange their voucher. Ferry tickets from Piraeus to the next destination/island will be delivered to Athens hotel. The local agents on each island will deliver the rest of the tickets.

Athens (Athina) is named after Athena, the goddess of wisdom, who, according to legend, won the city after defeating Poseidon in a duel. The goddess’ victory was celebrated by the construction of a temple on the Acropolis, the site of the city’s earliest settlement in Attica.

The most important site of interest in Athens is the Parthenon on the Acropolis. This structure dominates the area of central Athens. From the midst of modern Athens rises the Acropolis and sitting prominently atop lies the Acropolis. A popular stop for many is the Chapel of St George which is located atop Lycabettus Hill in central Athens. The views of the city of Athens from the top are excellent. On a clear day one might even see some of the nearby islands. If you are interested in shopping, Athens has a bit to offer. It is possible to buy the latest fashion designs from European designers to local items made by local designers. If one street stands out for shopping it would have to be Ermou.

Athens enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate, with the greatest amounts of precipitation mainly occurring from mid-October to mid-April. Snowfalls occur almost on a yearly basis, though these do not normally lead to significant, if any, disruption. Spring and fall (autumn) are considered ideal seasons for sightseeing and all kinds of outdoor activities. Summers can be particularly hot and at times prone to smog and pollution related conditions.

Athens is home to 148 theatrical stages, more than any other European city, including the famous ancient Herodes Atticus Theater, home to the Athens Festival, which runs from May to October each year.
